Howdy Runners and Walkers!
Lots of exciting news and races to report this month! Reminder that our Wednesday evening meeting spot will be at River Outpost until the end of September. Hope to see everyone at our weekly meetups and other upcoming events. Our club continues to grow and we are thrilled to welcome so many new faces to the Run PB community.
Sneaker Drive Fundraiser
It’s hard to believe that an estimated 300 million pairs of shoes go into America’s landfills every year! 100% of these shoes can be recycled and the majority of these shoes can still be reused. That’s why we have decided to start a sneaker drive fundraiser with GotSneakers. The sneakers that we collect through the GotSneakers program will help us raise much needed funds AND will keep sneakers out of landfills. Talk about a win-win!
For the entire month of June, Emily Albanese will be collecting your worn out athletic shoes. Just bring them to any club event during June or reach out to Emily via WhatsApp to coordinate. Our goal is to collect 100 pairs of athletic shoes that would have otherwise gone in the trash. Thanks for helping keep our sport healthier for the planet!

Passing the Baton
Ellen is passing the baton. Croton Running Company’s next chapter will be in the hands of three familiar faces — Jimmy, Bobby, and Mitch.
As fellow Run PB members, we couldn’t be more excited to see them continue the legacy of a shop that has meant so much to the local running community.
Thank you, Ellen, for everything you’ve done for runners in our area! Congratulations on your retirement, and congratulations to Bobby, Mitch, and Jimmy on this exciting new chapter!

Other Club Events
Early Morning Runs
Track Work Monday meets at Torpy Field in Peekskill at 6 AM (warm up at 5:45 AM) and Friday Sunrise Runners meets at Matters Coffee in Croton at 5:30 AM.
Wednesday Run/Walk
Wednesday meetups are at back at River Outpost Brewing until the last Wednesday of September. Hang out inside or at the picnic tables post-run/walk.
