Hello Runners/Walkers -
Is it September or October? I'm not complaining... its been great outdoor exercise weather lately and it looks like it will be for the next few weeks as well! Wednesday night club runs continue to be at River Outpost Brewing at 6 pm. Below are some highlights for the month:
NEW: "Track Work Monday" will begin on Monday, September 8 at Depew Track (Torpy Field), hosted by Mitch and Bob, starting at 6:00 am.
NEW: "Friday Sunrise Runners" will begin Friday, September 12 at Matters Coffee (50 Maple Street, Croton on Hudson) hosted by Jaydip, at 5:30 am.
Wednesday, September 24 we will be doing an Octoberfest fun run with some themed activities! Wear your best German outfit and come ready for some gemütlichkeit! Prost!!
Saturday, September 13: Paws Crossed Animal Rescue's annual run/walk in Yorktown Heights to support their mission to "Rescue One By One Until There are None." The 5K is combined with their annual Paws Crossed Day, which includes vendors, food trucks, live music, entertainment and of course, adoptions! All festivities will be active from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Megan has set up a Run PB Team, look for that when you register. Race day registration is also available, which opens at 9:00 am. The race will be professionally timed and runners will get official results.

Saturday-Sunday, October 4-5: Wineglass 5K, 13.1 and 26.2 in Corning, NY! We have a good dozen or so club members attending, a couple of them will be doing their first ever marathon. Sold out!
Sunday, October 19: Harry Chapin races in Croton. Start times:
5K Race and Walk: 8:30 am
10K Race: 10 am
1-Mile Fun Run: 11:45 am
Saturday, October 25 at 9:30 am: The 9th Annual Town of Cortlandt 5K Road Race. There is a pavilion for registration and post race activities and a parking area at 45 Riverside, Verplank. Registration is $15; race day registration is $20. Same course, same great people. All participants will receive a free t-shirt. Awards to top 3 men & women in various age groups. https://www.runner.org/cortlandt5k/
Saturday, October 25 at 9:30 am: Sleepy Hollow 10K. We are looking for a costume theme for this one. Chime in on the What's App chat with ideas! This race has been lots of fun in the past with a big group. Past themes have included "Barbie" and "Holidays."
Spartan/Tough Mudder Races: We have 2 free entry codes available for any 2025 event — for a chance at one, just reply to this email. If multiple people are interested, we’ll draw names.
There is also a 40% discount code for all upcoming events: RunPB9-3.These events are open to all levels and can be a fun way to try something new together.
